Role Overview

The FinTech Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business needs, defining requirements, and supporting technology-driven financial solutions. This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, product managers, and technical teams. The analyst will contribute to the design, enhancement, integration and implementation of financial systems and digital products within a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Role Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

· Elicit, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements for financial products and systems.

· Conduct detailed analysis of workflows, business processes, and data flows related to financial operations.

· Draft and maintain detailed workflows, business processes, and data flows related to the entire lead-to-customer conversion process.

· Translate complex business needs into actionable system requirements and Jira stories.

Project & Product Support

· Work closely with product managers and technical teams to support end‑to‑end solution design.

· Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

· Assist in evaluating new features, enhancements, and system integrations.

Stakeholder Collaboration

· Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance, Compliance, Analytics, Operations, Lead Acquisition, Marketing and IT.

· Facilitate meetings, workshops, and requirement‑review sessions with stakeholders.

· Host in-depth walkthroughs of business requirements and Jira stories with technical teams as part of the final hand-off before development may begin.

Data & Process Analysis

· Perform data analysis, trend identification, and financial system validation.

· Create process maps, data dictionaries, workflow documentation, and functional specifications.

· Recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Compliance & Risk Awareness

· Ensure regulatory requirements (e.g., KYC, AML, PCI, SOX) are considered in technology changes.

· Maintain an understanding of financial industry standards, digital payments, and emerging FinTech trends.

Required Skills & Education

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.

· 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in financial services, banking, or FinTech.

· Strong understanding of financial products, digital banking, payments, or financial operations.

· Proficiency in requirements documentation, process mapping, and data analysis.

· Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban), including previous usage of software management tools (e.g. Jira).

· Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
