Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with our Risk Management team on our client engagements. These engagements are varied and no two are the same. Engagements include, but are not limited to, auto finance consulting, report development, and portfolio management. You will be responsible for working in a team environment to see each engagement through from start to finish, conducting various analytical duties to satisfy our clients’ needs.

These duties include, but are not limited to, various financial-related analysis of cash flows, risk assessment, and closing deals. You will also be responsible for working in a team environment and being socially focused on the “how can I help you” attitude. While a standard work week may last 40 hours, there will be others which are more demanding as workload increases. We foster a team environment, focused on getting the job done, however long that may take, but we have fun doing so and no week is the same as the last. You will have certain responsibilities that are similar throughout, but you will also have many opportunities to express your creativity as the needs of our clients change.

What You’ll Do

• Assess and validate data accuracy using excel formulas; the data sets provided from clients may include financials, demographics, contract, and/or collateral.
• Synthesize and summarize data using Excel and SQL to identify trends and areas of potential risk.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies using analytical skills.
• Design reports based on specific financial needs of the company and/or clients; an example is a report that provides snapshot results of a current portfolio management pool.
• Conduct trend analysis on such things as delinquency, charge offs, and cash flows.
• Strategize with management on financial projects, such as evaluation of market trends.
• Portfolio Pricing.
• Account/Portfolio reconciliations.
• Perform other projects as tasks as assigned.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance, Math, or Computer Science.
• Advanced MS Office experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Basic familiarity with SQL and database architecture.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize daily workload.
• High level verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-orientated and inquisitive.
• Creative, entrepreneurial, and problem solver.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the auto finance industry
• Knowledge of programming language
• Statistical background and knowledge
