Business Analyst

Duties

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define business requirements, translating them into clear technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to communicate complex data insights effectively.
• Conduct comprehensive data analysis utilizing SQL, R, Python, and ETL processes to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
• Design and optimize databases with expertise in database design principles using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Support Agile project management practices by participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
• Manage the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring quality standards are met from initial planning through deployment.
• Automate workflows and reporting tasks using VBA, Bash (Unix shell), or other scripting languages to enhance efficiency.
• Integrate linked data sources to create comprehensive datasets that support advanced analytics initiatives.
• Collaborate with technical teams on the development of data pipelines using Talend or similar ETL tools for seamless data integration.
• Assist in database design improvements and schema development to support scalable analytics solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in business analysis with strong understanding of analytics concepts and techniques.
• Proficiency in SQL programming for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI, Looker or similar visualization tools for creating insightful dashboards.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management practices to facilitate collaborative project execution.
• Knowledge of SDLC processes ensuring structured development cycles for software projects.
• Technical skills in R, Python, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), Talend, Oracle databases, and Microsoft SQL Server are highly desirable.
• Strong database design skills coupled with expertise in linked data integration for comprehensive analysis.
• Ability to interpret complex datasets using advanced analysis skills to support strategic decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Pay: $92,656.25 - $111,586.02 per year
