Business Analyst

Job Title: Business Analyst I

Location: Anchorage, Alaska, USA (onsite)

Pay Rate: 25.93 - 54.76/hour

Employment Type: Temporary (6 months)


About the Role:

This role is responsible for business analyst and data management activities to support project delivery. The position focuses on understanding and executing service-related business needs, documenting business processes and requirements, and driving efforts to completion.

Responsibilities include researching, defining, and documenting business processes and objectives with a focus on data quality and process documentation. The role supports project delivery by managing tasks with minimal supervision, ensuring high-quality outcomes aligned with best practices and standards.

The position involves collaborating with functional and strategic areas to implement unified processes, assisting with user training, and creating and maintaining user guides. It also includes managing small to medium projects, identifying and mitigating risks, tracking timelines, costs, and resources, and providing accurate reporting to stakeholders.

Additionally, the role supports business process analysis, identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility, and recommends improvements. It contributes to testing new or updated processes, supports training initiatives, and maintains ongoing communication with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.


Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of experience in quality data entry, training, business analysis, and/or project management
  • Experience researching, defining, and documenting business processes and objectives
  • Experience supporting project delivery and managing tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage small to medium projects, including risk identification, tracking timelines, costs, and resources
  • Experience gathering and analyzing data using established tools, techniques, and methods
  • Ability to document findings and prepare reports and recommendations for stakeholders
  • Experience supporting testing and implementation of new or updated processes
  • Ability to assist with user training and create user guides
  • Strong attention to data quality and process documentation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of post-high school education and experience equal to four (4) years
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong business and systems analysis skills
  • Strong project organization skills
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft applications
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented approach
  • System implementation experience (desirable)
