Business Analyst – Associate Manager

ACWA is seeking a high-performing Business Analyst – Associate Manager to support the Green Power Export Initiative, a strategic platform developing large-scale cross-border renewable electricity export projects.

This role provides analytical, commercial, financial, and strategic leadership support across complex international energy developments. The successful candidate will contribute directly to feasibility studies, commercial structuring, regulatory assessments, and executive decision-making.


Role Overview:

As part of the Green Power Export Initiative team, you will help support ACWA’s international renewable energy expansion by creating robust, data-driven business cases, aligned with evolving policies and market frameworks. Initial project focus includes Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, with exposure to global opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead analytical workstreams supporting feasibility studies and project development.
  • Build and review financial models, investment appraisals, and funding strategies.
  • Support commercial structuring of cross-border renewable energy projects.
  • Conduct regulatory, policy, and market assessments across regulated and unregulated markets.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and strategic materials.
  • Coordinate with technical, legal, and finance teams across multiple geographies.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality of deliverables.
  • Manage multiple workstreams with high standards and strong ownership.


Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in renewable energy, energy markets, investment banking, consulting, or corporate strategy within an international organisation.
  • Experience in creating robust and data driven business cases and reports, strong data analysis capability to translate insights into impactful presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Fluency in Arabic is an advantage).


Technical & Professional Expertise:

  • Foundation in corporate finance (financial modelling, capital structure, investment appraisal, funding strategies).
  • Understanding of end-to-end energy project development (origination through execution).
  • Knowledge of energy market dynamics and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Rigorous and structured analytical approach.
  • High ownership, accountability, and initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under ambitious deadlines.
