Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and document business requirements related to banking operations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Translate business needs into functional specifications and liaise with technology teams for solution design.
Work with stakeholders to gather and validate requirements for regulatory frameworks such as CBUAE, IFRS9, BASEL III, AML, and other financial reporting mandates.
Review and enhance data flows between financial systems and reporting platforms.
Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure alignment between business requirements and delivered solutions.
Support finance and risk teams in automating and streamlining reporting processes.
Prepare documentation including process flows, data mapping, and system interface requirements.
Collaborate with project managers to track deliverables, dependencies, and timelines.
Assist in impact assessments of regulatory or system changes on existing processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is a plus.
5–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Banking or Financial Services domain.
Strong understanding of regulatory reporting, financial statements, and accounting principles.
Experience with reporting tools and financial data systems (e.g., Oracle Financials, SAP, Moody’s, Axiom, or similar).
Knowledge of regulatory guidelines (CBUAE, IFRS9, Basel III, AML, etc.).
Proficiency in SQL and data analysis is an advantage.
Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in core banking transformation or regulatory reporting automation projects.
Exposure to data governance, ETL processes, and financial data warehousing.
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
