Brief Job Overview

The Digital & Innovation group at USP is seeking a Business Analyst who can drive and deliver digital tech solutions. We are seeking someone who excels in digital innovation for building impactful data products across our ecosystem.

Core analytics capabilities include the ability to instrument critical metrics, identify the landscape of the entire function, determine opportunities for improvement, work with Product to craft scalable solutions, and monitor their performance.

Who is USP Looking For?

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of our mission, commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices, ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following competencies and experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Analytics or Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics) or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 3–7 years of experience in Business Analysis ,Technical Program Management or Product Management, delivering scalable software services and platform features.
  • Lead large-scale technology programs including scope definition, project planning, prioritization, execution tracking, and successful delivery.
  • Create, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules, resource allocations, dependency maps, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct readiness assessments across people, processes, systems, and technology components to ensure delivery alignment.
  • Develop program baselines, perform gap analyses, drive reviews, and implement updates to ensure strong execution governance.
  • Identify, track, and escalate risks, issues, and cross-team dependencies; implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, align deliverables, and ensure milestone readiness.
  • Prepare comprehensive project artifacts including dashboards, status reports, timelines, risk registers, and delivery plans.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings, document key decisions, capture action items, and drive closure on follow-ups.
  • Monitor project performance, proactively escalate blockers, and ensure timely issue resolution to maintain delivery cadence.
  • Partner with engineering, product, operations, and geographically distributed teams to achieve program objectives.
  • Provide clear and consistent reporting on KPIs, milestones, risks, and deliverables to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Define program scope, develop feature specifications and user stories, and work closely with engineering teams for implementation.
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to design optimal, scalable, and forward-thinking solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering cloud-scale systems and driving deep technical conversations when needed.
  • Lead effective program ceremonies and working sessions, assign and track action items, and ensure project visibility.
  • Drive software engineering and data initiatives with a strong understanding of the technical and business ecosystem.
  • Influence stakeholders across multiple teams and levels to drive alignment and program success.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity with strong ownership, adaptability, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.

Additional Desired Preferences

  • Experience in scientific nomenclature or hands-on experience in life sciences, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, or related STEM fields; science-related degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving technical projects to successful completion.
  • Excellent organizational skills; strong attention to detail and ability to lead by example and display growth mindset.
  • Industry standard certifications such as ITIL, PMP etc. would be a plus
