MUST HAVE DISCOM EXPERIENCE
Job Objective: The Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding the digital transformation needs of Central Government Ministries and translating them into functional and technical specifications. This role involves detailed stakeholder engagement, business process analysis, documentation, gap assessments, and coordination between technical and policy teams to ensure successful implementation of citizen-centric digital services.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement & Requirement Gathering
• Engage with Ministry officials and users to understand business processes, challenges, and transformation objectives.
• Conduct requirement elicitation sessions, interviews, workshops, and field visits where needed.
• Translate stakeholder inputs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
Business Process Mapping & Gap Analysis
• Document AS-IS and TO-BE business process workflows using standard tools (e.g., BPMN). • Perform gap analysis between current systems and desired digital solutions.
• Identify pain points, inefficiencies, and recommend process reengineering approaches.
Documentation & Solution Design Support
• Prepare and maintain detailed documents such as Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), Use Cases, and User Stories.
• Support in drafting Concept Notes, Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), RFPs, RFQs, and Technical Evaluation Criteria.
• Assist the Solution Architect and technical teams in aligning functional requirements with system capabilities.
Project Coordination & UAT Support
• Liaise between stakeholders, development teams, and quality assurance for smooth implementation.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, test case review, and issue resolution.
• Track and report progress on deliverables, risks, and mitigation plans.
Digital Transformation Strategy & Policy Alignmen t
• Align solutions with national digital governance policies, MeitY standards, and frameworks.
• Promote adoption of Digital Public Goods (e.g., Aadhaar, DigiLocker, UPI, ONDC) wherever applicable.
• Ensure usability, inclusivity, and accessibility of digital services from a citizen perspective.
Qualification: Essential:
• B.E./B.Tech/MCA or equivalent
Desirable:
• MBA/PGDM in IT Systems, Public Policy, Operations, or related field
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA), Agile (e.g., CSM), or Digital Transformation
Skills and Experience :
• 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in IT/e-Governance projects
• Proven experience in government consulting, large-scale IT project documentation, and business process analysis
• Proficiency in tools like MS Visio, Draw.io, JIRA, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint • Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies
• Familiarity with India Stack components and digital public infrastructure is an advantage
• Understanding of data privacy, security policies, and accessibility guidelines
