We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst (BA) with hands-on exposure to the Finacle Core Banking platform and a solid understanding of retail banking processes. The ideal candidate will support business requirement gathering, documentation, functional analysis, UAT coordination, and day-to-day collaboration with cross-functional teams. - Engage with business stakeholders to understand functional needs, pain points, and enhancement requests.
- Facilitate requirement workshops, discussions, and walkthroughs with business users and operations teams.
- Translate business needs into clear and structured requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Perform feasibility checks and document system impacts for Finacle-related changes.
- Prepare detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), user stories, and process flow diagrams.
- Develop end-to-end process maps, impact assessments, and gap analyses.
- Create and maintain requirement traceability matrices, ensuring alignment between requirements and delivery.
- Maintain version control and proper documentation for all changes and enhancements.
- Support Finacle parameterisation, product configuration, and functional validation for relevant modules.
- Work with Finacle SMEs and technology teams on clarifications, change impacts, and dependency mapping.
- Assist in functional testing and validation of Finacle enhancements, patches, and new releases.
- Analyse Finacle logs, error messages, and system behaviours to support troubleshooting with technology teams.
- Prepare UAT test scenarios, test scripts, and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate UAT cycles with business users, ensuring timely execution and proper defect logging.
- Validate test results, track defects, and ensure closure with the development and QA teams.
- Provide functional support during production deployment activities.
- Act as a bridge between business users, technology teams, external vendors, and Finacle support teams.
- Communicate requirement clarifications, progress updates, and issue escalations effectively.
- Ensure expectations are set accurately and delivery timelines are adhered to.
- Support cross-functional collaboration across Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Channels teams.
- Identify opportunities to streamline or optimise business processes within retail banking and Finacle workflows.
- Ensure solutions comply with bank policies, audit guidelines, regulatory requirements, and operational controls.
- Perform root-cause analysis for recurring issues and propose long-term solutions.
- 2–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst within Banking or Financial Services.
- Working experience with Finacle Core Banking modules such as CASA, Payments, Deposits, Loans, Fees/Expenses, Customer 360, etc.
- Understanding of Finacle parameterisation, workflows, and integration points.
- Ability to interpret Finacle screens, error logs, and backend functional behaviour.
- Good understanding of retail banking products (savings, current accounts, term deposits, loans, credit workflows, fees/charges).
- Familiarity with digital channels (mobile, online banking) and their interactions with core banking (good to have).
- Proficiency in creating process flows using tools such as Visio, Draw.io, Lucidchart, etc.
- Strong capability in preparing BRDs, FSDs, user stories, and detailed functional documentation.
- Ability to perform root-cause analysis, impact assessments, and requirement breakdowns.
- Good understanding of data mapping, reconciliation, and transaction lifecycle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder coordination and requirement walkthrough facilitation.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and structured in approach.
- Exposure to UAT automation tools or test management systems (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
- Understanding of regulatory guidelines (CBUAE), audit requirements, and operational risk frameworks.
