Responsibilities and Duties:
Elicit, document, and manage requirements for HNAS billing/funding remediation and reporting enhancements; translate needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items.

Process mapping & controls: Document current-state workflows (cash movement, funding, invoicing, reconciliations), identify failure points/controls gaps, and define future-state process and data requirements with business owners.

Data analysis & reconciliation support: Analyze cash/GL/subledger reporting outputs (e.g., account completeness, fund code mapping logic), quantify variances, and propose data fixes and business rules to improve reconciliation outcomes.

Solution design partnership: Partner with HNAS Ops/Tech and enGen teams on near-term automation (e.g., client folder centralization, ancillary invoice collection, negative batch report distribution) by clarifying inputs/outputs, defining edge cases, and aligning on implementation approach.

Testing & enablement: Support UAT planning and execution, validate fixes against expected results, and create/update business-facing documentation and training materials for new processes and reports.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years as a Business Analyst (or closely related role) supporting finance operations, billing/funding, reconciliations, or data/reporting initiatives; experience in healthcare payer/TPA environments preferred.

Requirements elicitation and documentation (BRDs/FRDs, user stories, process flows), with strong attention to detail and traceability.

Data analysis skills to validate reporting logic and reconciliation outputs; comfort working with large datasets in Excel.

Stakeholder management and facilitation skills to drive alignment across finance, operations, and technology teams; clear written and verbal communication.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; comfortable working in Teams/SharePoint

Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion; strong follow-up and ability to operate in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment.

Structured, detail-oriented, collaborative, proactive communicator, and comfortable balancing near-term execution with long-term solutioning.

Must be a self-starter.

Ideally someone who requires minimal supervision and can drive projects forward independently.

Experience delivering BA artifacts (process maps, data definitions, requirements traceability, UAT plans/scripts) in finance ops domains (billing, funding, reconciliations, audit support); familiarity with healthcare claims funding constructs (e.g., client funds held, settlements, vendor fees).

SQL and/or Power BI preferred

Familiarity with Jira/Azure DevOps and test/UAT practices

Certifications: CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or Lean/Six Sigma
