Business Analyst – HRIS / SAP Project Lead

- Location: Hybrid, 4 days onsite (Columbia, SC) per week (must be SC resident or relocate at own expense)

Overview
The Business Analyst – HRIS / SAP Project Lead supports and enhances HR systems with a focus on SAP ECC and related platforms. The role bridges business needs and technical solutions by analyzing HR processes, identifying improvements, and leveraging SAP functionalities to optimize workflows and data integrity.
Required Skills
- Ability to analyze, document, and improve business and system processes using various tools and methodologies
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Working knowledge of state HR/payroll processes, data privacy standards (HIPAA, FLSA), and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Proficiency in creating user guides, SOPs, and technical documentation
- Advanced skills in reporting, dashboard creation, and data visualization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and collaboration tools (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors
- Familiarity with industry‑standard information security practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of IT development and implementation projects
Key Responsibilities
- System Analysis & Support: Evaluate HR/financial systems, identify gaps, recommend enhancements, and maintain system protocols
- Testing & Implementation: Lead unit, integration, and UAT testing; support upgrades, patches, and rollouts
- Training & Documentation: Develop user guides, SOPs, and training materials; conduct training sessions
- Reporting & Data Integrity: Build reports/dashboards (Excel, Power BI), ensure data accuracy, and support audits/compliance
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with HR/Finance/IT to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and conduct gap analyses
- Project Management: Create project plans, schedules, and status reports; manage risks and coordinate stakeholders
Collaboration & Compliance: Maintain SharePoint content, adhere to IT/security standards (NIST, FISMA, SC InfoSec), and support policy development
