The anticipated salary range for this role is between $124,000.00 and $173,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Oversee the daily operations of HRIS platforms with a focus on maintaining unified, high-integrity employee data to support enterprise-wide reporting and analytics.

Manage system configurations, user permissions, and operational settings to ensure accurate data flow and accessibility for reporting users across HR functions.

Collaborate with third-party vendors to implement software updates that enhance reporting capabilities and recommend internal system optimizations to improve data availability and visualization.

Ensure that reporting tools and data structures are aligned with business needs, enabling timely and accurate delivery of dashboards, KPIs, and workforce analytics.

Maintain HRIS platform(s) by unifying employee data and verifying its integrity.

Manage and monitor configurations, permissions, access, and system operations.Customize systems to meet firm/business line requirements.

Collaborate with vendors on software releases and recommend internal changes.Develop documentation, guidelines, desktop procedures, dashboards, and ad-hoc analytics.

Ensure data privacy and security through accurate data entry, system changes, and self-auditing.

Build relationships with business lines to understand requirements and drive adoption of self-service systems.

Partner across HR functions to gather feedback and enhance user experience.

Collaborate with data governance, compliance, and audit teams to protect data integrity and security.

Apply technical expertise (Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Excel, Tableau, Python) to HRIS operations.

Serve as a subject matter expert for full-cycle HRIS implementations and strategic projects.

Ensure compliance with employment laws and data privacy regulations.

Demonstrate knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and HRIS systems.

Ability to independently define and articulate analytics solutions across organizational levels.

Experience leading or participating in business sessions to identify and document analytic use cases.

Strong project management and delivery orientation.

Expert experience in Microsoft Fabric (Power BI, Synapse, Data Factory, OneLake) with multiple project implementations.

Experience with SAP BusinessObjects / SAP NetWeaver BW or SAP HANA platforms is a plus.

Skilled in gathering business requirements for reporting, KPIs, metrics, and dashboards.

Experience designing and implementing reporting for structured and unstructured data sets.

Proficient in data extraction/loading to data marts/data warehouses.

Technical skills in SQL, database management, business intelligence, data mining, and systems administration.

7+ years of experience in analytics, data engineering, BI, or statistical analysis.

Minimum 5+ years of experience in implementations, upgrades, and migrations.

Expert-level Excel skills for data analysis and modeling.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
