Business Analyst (ICT Governance)

The Business Analyst – ICT Governance is responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing ICT governance practices across sports venues, tournaments, and event operations. The role ensures effective governance, business process management, requirements engineering, and operational readiness planning to support mission-critical venue and event technology services.


The role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, venue operations teams, ICT domains, vendors, and external partners, ensuring business requirements are translated into effective ICT solutions while maintaining governance compliance and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities


ICT Governance & Framework Management


  • Define, establish, implement, and continuously improve ICT governance frameworks, policies, standards, procedures, and operating models aligned with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
  • Ensure ICT governance structures effectively support sports venues, tournament operations, and large-scale event environments.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with internal governance policies, regulatory requirements, risk management controls, and industry standards.
  • Support governance reporting, performance monitoring, and decision-making processes across ICT functions.
  • Facilitate governance boards, steering committees, architecture reviews, and stakeholder forums.


Business Analysis & Requirements Engineering


  • Lead end-to-end business analysis and requirements engineering activities across ICT initiatives and operational programs.
  • Elicit, analyze, document, validate, and manage business, functional, non-functional, technical, and operational readiness requirements.
  • Conduct stakeholder workshops, interviews, process assessments, and requirements review sessions.
  • Develop business process models, use cases, workflow diagrams, requirements specifications, and traceability matrices.
  • Ensure alignment and traceability of requirements from business objectives through solution design, implementation, testing, and operational support.
  • Support solution evaluation, gap analysis, impact assessments, and change management activities.


Event & Tournament ICT Operations Planning


  • Lead ICT planning and coordination activities for tournaments, sporting events, and venue operations.
  • Ensure event support readiness across all ICT domains including infrastructure, applications, networks, cybersecurity, service management, and operations.
  • Coordinate integrated readiness planning, testing activities, operational rehearsals, test events, and go-live preparations.
  • Monitor critical milestones and ensure risks, dependencies, and operational issues are proactively managed.
  • Support command and control activities during major events and operational periods.


Stakeholder Management & Coordination


  • Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders, venue operations teams, ICT departments, vendors, system integrators, and external partners.
  • Facilitate collaboration and alignment across multiple technical and business domains.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, recommendations, and governance documentation.
  • Provide regular status updates and management reporting to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Support strategic planning and ICT transformation initiatives where required.


Risk Management, Assurance & Continuous Improvement


  • Identify ICT risks, dependencies, constraints, and operational gaps impacting venue and event operations.
  • Recommend and track mitigation actions to reduce operational and technology risks.
  • Support ICT assurance activities, operational readiness reviews, audits, compliance assessments, and governance evaluations.
  • Lead lessons-learned workshops and post-event reviews to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across governance processes, operational procedures, and service delivery models.


Qualifications


  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in ICT Governance, Business Analysis, ICT Operations, Enterprise Technology, or related disciplines.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Any Bachelor's Degree with significant relevant ICT governance, business analysis, or enterprise technology experience.
  • Proven experience within large and complex ICT environments.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical operations, major events, sports venues, stadiums, tournaments, or large-scale operational environments.
  • Demonstrated experience working with senior technical specialists, architects, engineers, and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience managing cross-functional stakeholder engagement and governance processes.
  • Exposure to ICT operational readiness, service transition, and event support planning is highly desirable.

  • CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional)
  • PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis)
  • ITIL Foundation or higher
  • COBIT Foundation
  • TOGAF Foundation
  • PRINCE2 or PMP Certification
