Position Overview

An organization in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Business Analyst III to support complex systems analysis and business process initiatives.

The selected candidate will review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs to document highly complex system requirements. This role serves as a key liaison between business and IT teams, ensuring effective system design, testing, integration, and implementation while maintaining compliance with regulatory and program requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs

  • Document highly complex system requirements and maintain detailed system documentation

  • Develop test plans and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with stakeholders

  • Analyze policies and procedures to determine their impact on automated systems

  • Serve as liaison between business units and IT teams for analysis, design, configuration, testing, and implementation

  • Reengineer system processes and identify opportunities to leverage technology to meet business needs

  • Identify and communicate project risks and develop mitigation strategies

  • Provide regular project updates and status reports to stakeholders

  • Facilitate the service request lifecycle, including requirements coordination, artifact review, system integration, and UAT monitoring

  • Work independently and collaboratively to perform complex analytical tasks with a high degree of creativity and judgment

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or in similar roles

  • 5 years of experience serving as a liaison between Business and IT teams

  • 1 year of experience working with the Texas Automated Nutrition System (TANS)

  • 1 year of experience writing system requirements in compliance with federal child nutrition programs
