Rothe is seeking a Business Analyst IV to provide financial and data analysis support for the business office in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency’s enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA’s message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA’s communication to the outside world. SALARY RANGE: $109,000-$132,000
JOB LOCATION: Johnson Space Center (JSC), Houston, TX - Hybrid
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Business Analyst IV is responsible for the Business Management Office in support of the financial deliverables including task order baseline development and pricing, monthly budget vs. actuals reporting, forecast assessments, variance analysis and financial database management.
  • Utilizing a database, compile financial data from multiple sources, reconcile and prepare the monthly NASA 533M and Supplemental Financial Reports and logs.
  • Develops, reviews, analyzes and maintains time-phased cost proposals and revisions.
  • Develop resource forecasts and variance explanations for Control Accounts in coordination with Management Team.
  • Prepares monthly financial reporting and metrics, both internal and external for Management Team and customers.
  • Review subcontractor actuals and invoices and prepare and incorporate into monthly NASA invoices.
  • Process indirect rate adjustments and analysis in financial reports.
  • Displays exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written/verbal communications as well as visualizations.
  • Possesses strong team building skills across multi-functional areas that establish a collaborative operational structure.
  • Exhibits proven track record of working under tight deadlines.
  • High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.
  • Make recommendations to management on financial performance projections using financial and business knowledge and experience.
  • Maintain effective communication and cross-train within the department to serve as backup to others when assigned.
Learn and understand the financial reporting tools, including testing new features, report development and training.
EDUCATION:
BAA in General Business (or equivalent) with minimum 8 years’ experience in NASA financial reporting utilizing a database for a large complex contract with numerous reporting levels.
General understanding of a financial database including fields, code files, links, and reporting. Strong MS Excel experiences include pivot tables, graphs and trend analysis. Deltek Cobra and Costpoint Time and Expense, and iSITE experience a plus. High attention to details including solid organizational skills and quality products produced with a high amount of accuracy.

Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), SharePoint
