We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Management Specialist (Contingent) to support the Director of Lifecycle Cost Management. This role is ideal for a detail?oriented professional with strong analytical and Microsoft Excel skills who can translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
The Management Specialist will work closely with the Director and cross?functional Operations teams to evaluate, strengthen, and document business and technical processes that support capital project delivery, including design review, schedule management, and related operational workflows. Construction industry experience is a plus, but not required.

- Collaborate with the Director of Lifecycle Cost Management and cross?functional Operations teams to review and improve processes supporting capital project delivery, including:
- Prequalification
- Request for Information (RFI) responses
- Bid analysis
- Design delivery and review
- Schedule management
- Analyze operational and performance data and develop clear, actionable reports and insights using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Evaluate existing business and technical workflows and recommend practical, data?driven improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and service delivery
- Develop, update, and maintain process documentation, including:
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Guidelines and workflow narratives
- Training and presentation materials
- Prepare concise presentations, briefings, and written materials for internal leadership and stakeholders
- Identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities to support informed decision?making
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and internal records
- Conduct research and data analysis in support of strategic initiatives and special projects
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and translate findings into meaningful insights
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively prioritize workload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the construction industry (preferred but not required)
- Prior experience supporting operations, project management, process improvement, or business analysis initiatives
This role plays a critical part in strengthening operational processes that support capital project delivery. The Management Specialist will help improve consistency, efficiency, and transparency across teams, directly contributing to the successful delivery of projects that impact New York City’s public school infrastructure.
