Business Analyst – Pharmacy Domain

Location: East Midlands, UK
Employment Type: Fixed‑Term Employment Contract (6 months, Full‑Time)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with Pharmacy Domain expertise to support the delivery of pharmacy shop and warehouse management solutions. The role requires strong domain knowledge, experience working in regulated environments, and the ability to translate business and legislative requirements into effective system solutions.

The Business Analyst will work closely with pharmacy stakeholders, third‑party vendors, and technical delivery teams to ensure solutions meet operational, regulatory, and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements related to pharmacy operations
  • Engage with pharmacy shop and warehouse stakeholders through workshops and interviews to understand workflows, challenges, and regulatory considerations
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional and non‑functional specifications
  • Support the design and implementation of Pharmacy Shop and Warehouse Management Systems
  • Plan and support data migration activities, including data mapping, validation, and execution
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and support teams to ensure accurate interpretation and delivery of requirements
  • Work with third‑party application vendors to clarify requirements, prepare documentation, and support system integrations
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and resolution
  • Produce and maintain process flows, use cases, and user stories
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise across pharmacy operations, including inventory management, prescription handling, billing, and legislative compliance

Experience Required

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Business Analyst
  • At least 2 years’ experience working on pharmacy or healthcare‑related projects
  • Hands‑on experience with Pharmacy Shop and Warehouse Management Systems
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy workflows, inventory control, and regulatory or legislative requirements
  • Proven experience in data migration initiatives, including legacy system analysis and data mapping
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and documentation skills
  • Experience using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps (ADO), Confluence, MS Visio, and Microsoft Excel

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working in regulated healthcare or pharmacy environments
  • Exposure to third‑party vendor management and system integrations
  • Experience supporting compliance‑driven system implementations
