Position Highlights
Identifies and analyzes user and business needs for UAccess Employee (HCM enterprise projects). Responsible for the development and review of business, functional, and data requirements. Translates business requirements for complex projects into detailed functional designs for development, testing and implementation. Identifies and communicates risks and issues impacting business needs. May serve as project lead on small to medium-sized project or on a portion of a larger project.

Duties & Responsibilities

Data Analysis:

  • Gathers and organizes information on problems or procedures documents existing processes, systems and organizational structures
  • Conducts operational audits and analyzes data for possible improvements
  • Recommends new or revised systems and implements approved changes.
  • Creates queries and performs data analysis to identify, measure and document system outputs.

HRIS System Support:

  • Provides hands-on support for PeopleSoft HCM, assisting users with navigation and addressing general system usability issues.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues encountered by users during system operation, ensuring minimal disruption to HR processes.
  • Participates in system testing activities
  • May work with HR staff to understand their needs and challenges in using the PeopleSoft HCM system
  • Provides training and support to HR staff on system features and functionalities

HRIS System Modification:

  • Participates in planning and implementation of system modifications and upgrades.
  • Facilitates design sessions and discussions to create functional design documents.
  • Works with developers to ensure thorough understanding of functional requirements and designs.
  • Assists with the configuration and customization of PeopleSoft HCM modules to align with evolving business needs
  • Assists in the development and implementation of system enhancements

System Testing:

  • Creates test plans and scripts, and coordinates testing activities with functional users and other units to ensure system reliability and functionality.
  • Writing use cases and test cases, creating technical documentation and training guides.
  • Document and report any issues or bugs encountered during testing to the appropriate team for resolution.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Superior writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of enterprise applications and involving aspects of vendor relationship management and large scale implementations.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish collegial, productive working relationships with faculty, staff, and administration or similar organizational constituents.
  • Proven ability to manage time efficiently between long-term project deadlines and unexpected interruptions that require immediate attention.
  • Exhibited written and verbal communication skills to convey complex processes and scenarios to a range of clients from new to technology to career technologists.
  • Ability to monitor, troubleshoot and solve issues within MS Office 365 and additional supporting applications.
  • Ability to research emerging technical solutions related to productivity or collaboration tools.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
