We are seeking a Business Automation Engineer who specializes in designing, building, and deploying end-to-end business process automations using n8n (self-hosted). This role focuses on reducing manual operations, integrating multiple systems, and deploying scalable, production-ready automation solutions for internal teams and external clients.
The ideal candidate can translate business requirements into technical workflows, handle complex logic, and deploy automations in secure and reliable environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Process Automation
- Analyze business workflows and identify automation opportunities
- Design and implement complex multi-step workflows using n8n
- Automate processes across CRM, ERP, finance, marketing, HR, and support systems
- Build approval flows, data synchronization, and exception-handling logic
Integrations & APIs
- Integrate third-party systems using:
- REST / GraphQL APIs
- Webhooks
- OAuth and API keys
- Connect SaaS tools (e.g., CRM, accounting, email, payment gateways, project tools)
- Handle bi-directional data synchronization, data transformation, and validation
Deployment & Infrastructure
- Deploy and manage self-hosted n8n instances
- Configure environments using Docker / Docker Compose
- Set up:
- Environment variables
- Secrets management
- Logging and monitoring
- Ensure high availability and fault tolerance for automation workflows
Reliability & Security
- Implement:
- Error handling and retry mechanisms
- Alerts and notifications
- Rollback and fail-safe logic
- Ensure data security, access control, and compliance
- Optimize workflows for performance and scalability
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience as a Business Automation Engineer / Integration Engineer
- Hands-on expertise with n8n (self-hosted)
- Deep understanding of workflow automation design principles
- Strong experience with:
- APIs, Webhooks, JSON
- Authentication methods (OAuth 2.0, API keys)
- Experience deploying automation solutions using Docker
- Ability to design complex conditional logic and branching workflows
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Make (Integromat) or similar automation platforms
- Basic backend knowledge (Node.js, Python) for custom scripts
- Experience integrating:
- CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Accounting tools (QuickBooks, Xero)
- Payment gateways (Stripe)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Client-facing or consulting experience
