Business Continuity Consultant

Urgent Requirement We are seeking an experienced Business Continuity Consultant to lead and operationalize an enterprise-wide Business Continuity Management (BCM) Program for a major UAE-based oil & gas operator managing onshore gas supply infrastructure and offshore production platforms.

The role will drive the development and implementation of 90+ Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) aligned with ISO 22301 and NCEMA 7000, ensuring resilience, operational readiness, and rapid recovery across critical energy assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, maintain, and enhance the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS)
• Develop and quality assure 90+ BCPs across operations, production, engineering, IT/OT, HSE, logistics, and commercial units
• Integrate BCM with Crisis Management & Emergency Response frameworks
• Conduct continuity risk assessments, dependency mapping, and single point of failure analysis
• Support vendor & third party continuity assessments
• Produce BCM dashboards, KPIs, audit documentation, and executive reports
• Collaborate with offshore supervisors, control room teams, engineers, and IT/OT specialists
• 10+ years in Business Continuity, Operational Risk, or Resilience (Oil & Gas upstream/midstream preferred)
• Strong understanding of offshore production systems, gas supply networks, pipeline operations, and control room environments
• Hands on experience implementing BCM in high availability, technically complex operations
• Familiarity with OT/ICS, SCADA, DCS/ESD environments
• Experience working with multidisciplinary technical teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Petroleum) or Risk/Business Continuity
• Preferred Certifications: CBCP / MBCP - ISO 22301 Lead Implementer/Auditor - NCEMA certification
• PMP or Asset Management (IAM) certification is an advantage
• Willingness to visit offshore platforms (as per HSE requirements)
• Participation in emergency response exercises when requiredAbility to manage multiple parallel plan development streams
• High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and strong safety mindset
• Flexibility to work extended hours during exercises or critical recovery activities
