Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist General Manager on plan strategies for streamlining and improving business operations

Oversee marketing and promotions for a company’s products and services.

Negotiate vendor contracts to identify cost-saving opportunities
-
Develops and maintains a business recovery plan and procedure; reviews, revises, and expands existing plans and protocols.
-
Develops and provides staff training on company compliance issues.
-
Works with health, safety, and security and local, state, and federal agencies to align the organizations emergency management plan with established best practices and community standards.
-
On a daily basis, works with new and existing sales representatives and customers to gain approvals for increased sales.
-
Develop a marketing plan that meets the goals of the Strategic Plan. Work with team members to develop a sales plan for each territory consistent with the total plan.
-
Increase sales to present customers with new and current products.
-
Maintain SMS. Database and customer record.
-
Manage, select, and motivate, sales representatives to increase sales opportunities, RFQ’s, and sales volume. Ensure optimum staffing levels.
-
Communicate and educate sales team on Truex’s capabilities and targeted business.
-
Convey the needs of the markets to the General Manager and Engineering to capitalize on opportunities.
-
Participate in costing and budgeting process to understand and provide quotations.
-
Attend and walk medical, welding, industrial, electronic trade shows seeking new products and customers.
-
Attend and participate in industry related seminars.
-
Responsibility for advertising, trade shows, and publications.
-
Position has responsibility and authority for the direction of the Truex Sales Department Position has budget responsibilities up to $100,000 and revenue responsibilities up to $15,000,000.

Work is basically non-standardized and widely varied, involving many complex and significant variables. Analytic ability and inductive thinking are required to devise new methods in situations where previously accepted methods have proven inadequate.

Education and Experience:
-
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, or similar field required; Masters degree preferred.

Minimum of five years of management experience with at least two years in a risk management position required.
Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
