Main Purpose:
The Business Continuity Senior Specialist is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS). Unlike a standard operational role, this GRC-focused position emphasizes regulatory compliance, standardized governance, and cross-functional alignment to ensure the organization remains resilient against operational disruptions
Area of Responsibility:
1. Governance & Framework Management

Maintain and update the Business Continuity Policy and Framework in alignment with ISO 22301 and regional regulatory requirements (e.g., SAMA, CMA, or GDPR).

Integrate BCM activities into the broader GRC ecosystem to ensure a unified view of organizational risk.

Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the maturity of the continuity program.
2. Business Impact Analysis & Risk Assessment

Lead the BIA process across all business units to identify critical functions, dependencies, and resource requirements.

Define and validate Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) for all mission-critical processes.

Conduct "Threat and Vulnerability Assessments" in collaboration with the ERM team to identify single points of failure.
3. Plan Development & Crisis Coordination

Oversee the creation and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Crisis Management Plans (CMPs).

Act as a core coordinator for the Crisis Management Team (CMT) during real-world disruptions, facilitating communication and documentation.
4. Testing, Training, and Awareness

Design and execute an annual Exercise Calendar, including tabletop simulations, functional drills, and full-scale recovery tests.

Develop GRC-wide awareness programs to ensure every employee understands their role during a disruption.

Produce "After-Action Reports" (AARs) to turn exercise failures into governance improvements.
Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Business.
Work Experience:
-
4–6 years specializing in Business Continuity.
