Business Developer (e-commerce)

We are looking for a Business Developer who will take ownership of identifying, acquiring, and onboarding the right sellers and brands to strengthen our marketplace assortment. You will play a critical role in expanding selection, closing category gaps, and building strategic partnerships that support platform growth.


Key Responsibilities:

Seller Acquisition & Selection Growth

• Identify, approach, and secure high-potential sellers, brands, and distributors

• Close assortment gaps and strengthen category depth

• Prioritize strategic brands that enhance competitiveness and customer choice

Seller Onboarding & Activation

• Guide sellers through onboarding and go-live readiness

• Ensure sellers meet operational, technical, and compliance requirements

• Coordinate with internal teams to remove onboarding blockers

Commercial Negotiation & Partner Setup

• Negotiate commercial terms aligned with marketplace strategy

• Align sellers on pricing competitiveness, logistics setup, and service expectations

• Educate partners on platform policies and performance expectations

Market & Competitive Intelligence

• Monitor competitor assortment and identify opportunities to improve selection

• Track market trends and emerging brands to maintain category leadership

• Provide insights to support commercial planning and category strategy

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with category, logistics, finance, and tech teams to enable successful launches

• Support integration, content readiness, and operational setup

• Ensure a smooth handover to Account Management after go-live


Essential Qualifications & Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience in sales, international business development, vendor acquisition, or account management

• Strong commercial mindset and confidence in negotiation and relationship building

• Understanding of retail, eCommerce, distribution, or marketplace environments

• Ability to work with data to identify opportunities and track performance

• Structured and proactive approach in a fast-paced environment

• A large network in international brands and retailers is considered an advantage

• Fluent in English, spoken and written, is an absolute must
