Business Development Assistant - Travel & Tourism

Job Summary

The Business Development Assistant will support the sales and business development team in generating and qualifying leads, preparing quotations and proposals, managing CRM records, coordinating with internal departments, and assisting in converting inquiries into confirmed bookings. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Lead Management & Sales Support

  • Handle inbound inquiries from job portals, email, phone, and messaging platforms.
  • Qualify leads by understanding client requirements, budget, timelines, and decision processes.
  • Conduct outbound follow-ups and prospecting activities under the guidance of the sales team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all leads and interactions in the CRM system.

Quotation & Proposal Preparation

  • Prepare professional quotations and proposals for corporate clients, groups, and individual bookings.
  • Ensure pricing accuracy, margin compliance, and timely submission of proposals.
  • Follow up with clients on sent quotations to support deal closure.

Coordination & Booking Support

  • Coordinate with Operations, Reservations, and Finance teams to confirm bookings.
  • Ensure smooth handover from sales to operations once a booking is confirmed.
  • Assist in contract documentation, payment follow-ups, and booking confirmations.

Market Research & Business Development

  • Support market research activities, including competitor analysis and pricing comparison.
  • Assist in identifying new business opportunities, client segments, and potential partnerships.
  • Help prepare sales presentations and marketing materials as required.

Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain daily sales trackers, lead conversion reports, and pipeline updates.
  • Assist in preparing weekly and monthly performance reports.
  • Perform general administrative tasks to support the business development function.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or sales support (travel/tourism experience preferred).
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a professional approach.

Preferred / Advantageous

  • Experience in the travel, tourism, or hospitality industry.
  • Additional language skills (Arabic, Chinese/Mandarin, Russian, or others) are a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with reservation systems or travel platforms is a plus.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Timely response to inbound inquiries.
  • Lead-to-quotation and quotation-to-booking conversion rates.
  • Accuracy and completeness of CRM data.
  • Achievement of monthly sales support targets.
  • Quality of coordination and handover to operations.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
