Business Development Executive - Job Description Overview iQGateway is seeking a driven Business Development Executive with 3-4 years of experience to join our team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and contributing to our company's growth strategy. This position requires a combination of sales acumen, market understanding, and client relationship management skills. Key Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and lead generation Research potential markets and clients to expand our customer base Develop and deliver compelling sales pitches tailored to client needs Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and clients Conduct market research to identify industry trends and competitor activities Generate qualified leads and convert them into sales opportunities Manage social media platforms to enhance brand visibility and generate leads Track and report on sales activities and results Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are understood and met Participate in industry events and networking opportunities to build brand awareness Required Technical Skills Cold Calling (Proficiency Level: Mature) Conduct systematic outreach to potential clients via telephone and email Develop effective opening scripts and qualifying questions Handle objections professionally and turn them into opportunities Maintain consistent call volumes and follow-up schedules Document call outcomes and next steps in CRM system Lead Generation (Proficiency Level: Mature) Implement various lead generation strategies (direct outreach, referrals, events) Qualify leads based on established criteria Nurture leads through appropriate follow-up actions Convert qualified leads into meetings and sales opportunities Track and analyze lead source effectiveness Market Research (Proficiency Level: Proficient) Gather and analyze information about target markets and industries Monitor competitor activities and offerings Identify market trends and potential opportunities Prepare market intelligence reports Use research findings to inform sales strategies Sales Pitch Generation (Proficiency Level: Proficient) Develop value propositions aligned with client needs Craft compelling messages that highlight our differentiators Adjust pitches based on client feedback and market insights Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solution accuracy Social Media Management (Proficiency Level: Foundational) Maintain professional presence on relevant social platforms Share industry insights and company updates Engage with prospects and clients through social channels Support company branding initiatives Use social listening to identify potential opportunities Professional Skills and Expected Behaviors Pipeline Management (Proficiency Level: Foundational) Identify potential leads through basic research and data analysis based on knowledge of industries and offerings Stay cognizant of market and competitor trends to handle common questions from potential clients effectively Maintain diligence and detail orientation in creating/maintaining documentation associated with each critical stage of the capture management process and tools Negotiation (Proficiency Level: Foundational) Apply fundamental knowledge of negotiation stages and processes Handle simple negotiations with clients or prospects Demonstrate openness to new ideas and perspectives during discussions Design Thinking (Proficiency Level: Proficient) Overcome biases and state user needs and problems objectively to develop optimal solutions using appropriate design tools and techniques Challenge assumptions about problems in a structured manner Deep dive into products/offerings and user relevance to prototype solutions from a customer's perspective Account Management (Proficiency Level: Proficient) Gather critical insights and maintain cross-functional connections within client organizations and internally Ensure client expectations are properly served Develop in-depth knowledge of key clients and their businesses Nurture strategic relationships to identify the best opportunities for growth and service to clients Analytical Thinking (Proficiency Level: Advanced) Determine priorities for action in consultation with project manager/coach, focusing on activities with direct and/or long-term impact Demonstrate detail orientation in conducting analysis Identify key issues, opportunities, and risks Present findings clearly and concisely Knowledge Management (Proficiency Level: Proficient) Effectively use standard retrieval and dissemination tools Comply with knowledge and information dissemination policies Grow personal knowledge through research, active networking, and learning from others within and outside the organization Evaluation Process Two rounds of technical discussions One final round of evaluation Location Bangalore, India Work from office (5 days a week) About IQ Gateway iQGateway is dedicated to delivering innovative technology solutions.
