Business Development Associate (Import & Export – Raw Food Products)

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Associate (BDA) with proven experience in the import and export of raw food products. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of international trade regulations, supplier sourcing, global markets, and client acquisition within the food trading industry.

This role requires strong negotiation skills, market research capabilities, and the ability to manage end-to-end trade operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in international markets.
• Manage import and export operations for raw food products (grains, pulses, spices, produce, etc.).
• Build and maintain relationships with international suppliers and buyers.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, shipping terms, and trade agreements.
• Coordinate with logistics partners, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, food safety standards, and documentation requirements.
• Prepare and review shipping documents (Bill of Lading, Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, etc.).
• Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitor activity.
• Achieve sales targets and revenue goals.

Required Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in business development within import/export of raw food products.
• Strong understanding of international trade procedures and documentation.
• Knowledge of customs regulations and food safety compliance.
• Experience working with freight forwarders and logistics providers.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and transactions simultaneously.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs85,000.00 - Rs90,000.00 per month
