Position Summary
We’re seeking an energetic and relationship-driven Business Development & Community Outreach Manager to represent TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in Upland and the surrounding areas. This role combines networking, partnership building, event planning, and brand promotion. The ideal candidate is a natural connector who enjoys meeting people, growing relationships, and creating opportunities that drive new business. This position plays a key role in strengthening our community presence and positioning TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® as the trusted moving partner in Upland.
Key Responsibilities
Community Outreach & Networking
- Attend chamber of commerce meetings, networking events, senior expos, student fairs, and other community functions.
- Build and maintain partnerships with colleges, senior living facilities, real estate professionals, property managers, and businesses.
- Deliver engaging presentations and host outreach activities tailored to students, seniors, and other key groups.
Marketing & Branding
- Identify and support sponsorship opportunities while representing the company at community events.
- Distribute promotional materials and assist with local marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on social media content that highlights outreach and community involvement.
Partnership Development
- Develop referral programs with real estate offices, apartment complexes, and senior living communities.
- Negotiate and manage partner/vendor agreements to create ongoing lead opportunities.
Charitable Initiatives
- Lead company participation in charitable programs (e.g., Movers for Moms®, Movers for Military®).
- Coordinate donation drives, volunteer activities, and partnerships with local nonprofits.
Event Planning
- Organize community events such as relocation workshops, student move-in support programs, and customer appreciation events.
- Represent TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® at local fairs, expos, and sponsorship opportunities.
Data & Reporting
- Track and analyze outreach activities, leads, and ROI from community efforts.
- Provide monthly updates to management on business development initiatives and results.
Internal Engagement
- Train employees to act as brand ambassadors while in the field.
- Share community insights with operations and marketing teams to improve service and outreach strategies.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, community outreach, or related field.
- Strong communication, networking, and public speaking skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Professional, approachable, and relationship-focused personality.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Knowledge of local business networks and organizations preferred.
