Business Development Director
to lead strategic growth initiatives across the
defense and security sectors
. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry expertise, exceptional market insight, and a strong network within the
MENA region
.
This role will drive business expansion by identifying strategic partnerships, suppliers, and investment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Market Development:

Direct all business development activities, continuously monitoring defense market requirements and identifying optimal solutions through global suppliers and investment partners.

Focus on the MENA market, with the ability to expand and strengthen the company’s presence regionally and internationally.
Communication & Relationship Building

Establish and oversee the execution of a strategic communication plan that effectively promotes the company’s value proposition to customers, government agencies, and international defense entities.

Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with global defense contractors, security institutions, and industry leaders to drive business growth and strategic collaboration.
Client & Market Intelligence

Continuously assess current and emerging requirements of government, defense, and state security clients to ensure best-fit solutions.

Source innovative offerings either from within the company’s existing investment portfolio or through new partnerships across the global defense sector.

Maintain an in-depth understanding of global defense trends, key players, market drivers, and technological advancements to anticipate opportunities and challenges.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:

Background: Business Development in Defense Industry

Years of Experience: 10 – 15 years in the same or related field

Proven success in developing and executing business strategies within the defense and security domains, preferably within the MENA region.

Strong track record of partnering with government agencies, defense manufacturers, and technology firms.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Defense Studies, or related field; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
