Position Overview
Fatih Portakal is seeking a high-caliber Business Development Director to spearhead our regional growth and strategic partnerships from our Al Wakrah South operations center. As we expand our footprint in the Qatari market and across the wider GCC, we need a visionary leader who can identify emerging market trends, cultivate high-value institutional relationships, and translate complex business intelligence into sustainable revenue streams.
The ideal candidate is a "master connector" who balances professional charisma with the analytical rigor required to manage multi-sector expansion projects. You will be the primary architect of our market-entry strategies, ensuring that Fatih Portakal remains a dominant name in regional business excellence.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Roadmap: Design and execute a 3-year business development plan focused on market penetration within Qatar’s evolving commercial sectors.
- Partnership Orchestration: Identify and secure strategic alliances with government entities, private corporations, and international stakeholders.
- Full-Lifecycle Sales Management: Lead high-level negotiations from initial outreach and pitch presentations to contract finalization and post-deal integration.
- Data-Driven Intelligence: Utilize advanced Excel automation (XLOOKUP, Macros) to monitor market competition, lead conversion rates, and regional economic indicators.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Act as the primary executive face of the company in Al Wakrah and Doha, representing Fatih Portakal at major industry forums and networking events.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate with marketing, legal, and operations departments to ensure all new business ventures are operationally sound and compliant.
- CRM Optimization: Oversee the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or equivalent platforms to track the regional sales pipeline and client lifecycle.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the business development budget, ensuring a high ROI on all networking, travel, and promotional activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: 12+ years of professional experience in business development or strategic sales, with at least 6 years in a directorial or senior leadership capacity within the Middle East.
- Technical Mastery: Expert-level command of Microsoft Excel for data consolidation and revenue forecasting; strong familiarity with BPO-style process optimization.
- Language: Professional fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Turkish or Arabic is a significant advantage given our organizational roots and regional focus.
- Networking Prowess: A proven "Black Book" of contacts within the Qatar business landscape.
