Engineering Business Development Engineer – Electrical Sector

A company specialized in electrical engineering solutions and infrastructure systems design for facilities, utilizing advanced engineering software such as ETAP and other related tools, is seeking to hire:

Business Development Engineer (Electrical)

Location: Egypt

Work Type: Office-based (no site visits required)

Job Purpose

To support the company’s business growth by identifying new engineering project opportunities, building professional relationships with companies and consultancy offices, following up on engineering projects, and promoting engineering services and training programs within the electrical engineering sector.

Key Responsibilities

· Research and identify potential companies, consultancy offices, and contractors for cooperation

· Build, analyze, and maintain a database of competitors and potential clients

· Manage professional email communications to initiate and develop new project opportunities

· Follow up on suspended or delayed projects in coordination with the Planning Engineer

· Review suspended project invoices and prepare formal letters to follow up on project status and reasons for delays

· Prepare and publish professional descriptions for engineering training programs and courses

· Attract and engage interested candidates for training programs in the engineering sector

· Research relevant exhibitions, conferences, seminars, and events related to electrical engineering

· Prepare periodic reports for management on opportunities, projects, and follow-up activities

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree.

· 3-5 years of experience in an engineering or consultancy environment.

· Good understanding of electrical engineering projects and workflows.

· General familiarity with engineering analysis and design software (e.g., ETAP – considered an advantage).

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

· • Good understanding of social media platforms (especially LinkedIn) for business development and engineering outreach.

Required Skills

· Strong professional communication and writing skills (emails and formal correspondence)

· Analytical skills with the ability to organize and manage data

· High follow-up capability with strong attention to detail

· Understanding of the engineering project lifecycle

· Ability to work fully in an office-based environment

· Fluency in Arabic and very good command of English (written and spoken)
