We are seeking an energetic and result-driven Business Development Engineer with proven expertise in industrial coatings, particularly thermal spray and epoxy coating technologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of surface protection applications for the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries and established business relationships with major end users and EPC contractors across Saudi Arabia
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in industrial coating, Thermal Spray, Epoxy, Polymer and Surface engineering sectors.
- Build and expand strong professional relationships with key clients, including Saudi Aramco, SABIC, Petro Rabigh, SWCC, and other process industry end users.
- Proactively engage EPC contractors and project consultants to position the company's coating solutions during project bidding and specification stages.
- Promote thermal spray coating, epoxy coating, and wear- and corrosion-protection solutions to targeted market segments.
- Develop and execute business growth strategies aligned with company objectives and market trends.
- Conduct regular client visits across all Saudi regions to identify customer needs, present technical proposals, and close strategic deals.
- Collaborate closely with technical and operations teams to deliver accurate quotations, project documentation, and after-sales support.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify new service or product opportunities.
- Prepare and present periodic reports on business performance, market analysis, and sales forecasts to management.
- Ensure alignment with quality, safety, and compliance standards set by major industrial clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, or Chemical preferred).
- 5-7 years' experience in business development or technical sales within the coatings industry in Saudi Arabia.
- Solid product knowledge in thermal spray coating, epoxy coating, and related surface protection solutions.
- Hands-on experience dealing with EPC contractors and understanding project procurement cycles.
- Strong business network with major Saudi industrial clients (Aramco, SABIC, Petro Rabigh, SWCC, Ma'aden, etc.).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in preparing technical-commercial proposals and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for field travel across Saudi Arabia with a proactive and customer-oriented mindset.
- Self-motivated, result-driven, and capable of working independently under minimal supervision.
