About the Role

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Ship Chandler Business Development Executive to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities within the maritime supply sector. This role involves expanding relationships with ship owners, ship managers, port agents, and procurement teams to support revenue growth and strengthen our position as a trusted marine supplies provider. The role also requires close coordination with the operations, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with shipping companies, ship management firms, and port agents.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline across key ports and maritime hubs.
  • Conduct market research to analyze industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  • Prepare and present commercial proposals, quotations, and supply agreements.
  • Negotiate pricing, contractual terms, and service conditions with clients.

Client Relationship Management

  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with fleet procurement teams, technical departments, captains, and key stakeholders.
  • Manage key accounts to ensure repeat business and enhance customer loyalty.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding provisions, bonded stores, deck and engine supplies, and other marine goods.
  • Conduct regular meetings, port visits, and onboard vessel visits as required.

Coordination & Operations Support

  • Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely supply, accurate delivery, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Communicate vessel schedules, delivery windows, and supply requirements to internal teams.
  • Assist in resolving operational challenges to guarantee smooth service execution.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare sales forecasts, weekly performance updates, and business activity reports.
  • Maintain CRM entries, price lists, contracts, and client databases.
  • Contribute to budgeting, annual planning, and revenue target-setting.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2–5 years of experience in ship chandling, maritime supply, or B2B sales (experience level may vary based on seniority).

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong knowledge of marine provisions, bonded goods, and deck/engine stores.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interpret vessel schedules, port rotations, and basic maritime documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, CRM systems, and quotation tools.

Personal Attributes

  • Highly motivated, target-oriented, and customer-focused.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight vessel delivery deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally for client and port visits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
