Job Purpose
The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth for VConn’s IT services and solutions. The role focuses on promoting VConn’s managed services, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, hosting, infrastructure, and custom software offerings to local and international clients.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
· Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities for VConn’s IT services portfolio.
· Generate leads through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, referrals, and networking.
· Conduct initial client meetings to understand business needs, IT challenges, and solution requirements.
· Present and position VConn’s services including Managed IT Services, Cloud Solutions, Cybersecurity, DevOps, Hosting, Database Management, and Software Development.
· Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and service offerings tailored to client requirements.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Act as a bridge between clients and internal technical teams to ensure clear requirement gathering and solution alignment.
- Coordinate with pre-sales, technical, and delivery teams for solution design and costing.
- Ensure timely follow-ups, negotiations, and closure of sales opportunities.
Market Research & Strategy
- Research market trends, competitors, and customer needs in IT services and consulting.
- Identify new markets, industries, and partnership opportunities.
- Maintain updated knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), cybersecurity trends, managed services, and emerging technologies.
- Provide feedback to management regarding market demand, pricing strategies, and service improvements.
Sales Operations & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions in CRM systems.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets as defined by management.
- Prepare regular sales reports, pipeline updates, and forecasts.
- Support marketing initiatives such as campaigns, events, and corporate presentations.
Key Skills & Competencies
Technical & Business Skills
- Strong understanding of IT services such as Managed IT Services, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, DevOps, Hosting, Infrastructure, Databases, and Software Development.
- Ability to explain technical solutions in a clear, business-friendly manner.
- Experience in B2B sales, IT services sales, or technology consulting sales.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition (preferably in IT services).
- Experience in selling IT solutions, managed services, cloud, or software solutions will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, proposal writing, and sales pipelines.
Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of qualified leads generated per month.
- Conversion rate from lead to closed deal.
- Revenue generated against assigned targets.
- Client retention and satisfaction.
- Accuracy and timeliness of sales reporting.
