Business Development Executive (BDE)

India

Role Overview

We are looking for proactive Business Development Executives to support business expansion across India for scientific security solutions. The role involves frequent client visits, relationship building, tender tracking, and coordinating product demonstrations with the technical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular visits to government laboratories, police and law enforcement departments, defence research units, and academic institutions.
  • Develop rapport with scientists, officers, and procurement staff to build long-term relationships.
  • Track upcoming procurement opportunities and provide competitor intelligence.
  • Arrange and support product demonstrations and presentations in coordination with the technical team.
  • Participate in relevant conferences, exhibitions, and training events.
  • Assist with tender documentation and ensure timely submission.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on customer visits, opportunities, and market trends.

Requirements

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline. Candidates with Science/Technical background (Life Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Forensic Science, B.Tech) will be given preference.
  • 2–6 years of experience in Sales/Business Development (government/institutional exposure preferred). Freshers with strong aptitude may also be considered.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships.
  • Proactive, organized, and comfortable with extensive client interaction.
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, Email, E-tender portals).
  • Mandatory: Willingness to travel extensively across India (12–15 days/month).
  • Advantage: Driving skills with a valid license.
