Role Overview
We are seeking a high-calibre Business Development Executive to drive growth across a diversified group operating at the intersection of enterprise technology, infrastructure services, and the built environment.
This is a consulting-led, deal-shaping role—not a transactional sales position. You will be responsible for originating, structuring, and closing complex, high-value opportunities across the UAE, working directly with senior client stakeholders and internal delivery teams.
The group’s activities span three strategic pillars:
- Cloud Data & AI Platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, SaaS)
- Railway Maintenance & Industrial Services (MRO, operations support)
- Commercial Signage & Digital Displays (retail, hospitality, urban development)
You are expected to bring deep, hands-on experience in at least one of these domains, and the intellectual agility to rapidly master and commercialise the others.
Core Responsibilities
1. Enterprise & Cloud Data Platforms (Primary Growth Engine)
- Lead enterprise business development for cloud data, analytics, and AI enablement programs, combining platform licensing with consulting and implementation services.
- Engage confidently with C-suite and senior decision-makers (CIO, CTO, CDO, Heads of Data, Procurement).
- Run discovery-led sales motions: problem framing, solution architecture positioning, ROI/TCO articulation, and roadmap definition.
- Differentiate offerings clearly versus competitors and hyperscaler-native options.
- Build and execute partner-led and co-sell motions where appropriate (cloud providers, ISVs, system integrators).
2. Railway Maintenance & Industrial Services (Government & Infrastructure)
- Identify and pursue opportunities in rail maintenance, operations support, and industrial service contracts.
- Establish early positioning with government, semi-government, operators, and Tier-1 contractors.
- Shape bid strategies and support complex tenders, coordinating scope, compliance, pricing, and delivery inputs.
- Navigate long procurement cycles, multi-stakeholder environments, and regulatory constraints with discipline and persistence.
3. Commercial Signage & Digital Displays (Built Environment)
- Develop and close bespoke signage and digital display projects across retail, hospitality, transport hubs, and urban developments.
- Engage developers, asset owners, consultants, and municipalities.
- Structure commercially sound proposals covering design, production, installation, and handover.
- Protect margin, manage scope complexity, and ensure clean transition to delivery.
Market & Account Strategy
- Actively track UAE and GCC mega- and giga-projects across transport, smart cities, hospitality, and urban development.
- Build and maintain strategic account plans, stakeholder maps, and opportunity pipelines.
- Convert market intelligence and relationships into early-stage visibility and qualified opportunities.
Pipeline Ownership & Commercial Discipline
- Own the full business development lifecycle from origination to contract signature.
- Maintain a rigorous CRM and forecasting cadence with clear close plans.
- Build a repeatable opportunity generation engine through networks, partnerships, targeted outreach, and industry presence.
Required Profile
Experience & Commercial Credibility
- Proven B2B business development experience in the UAE, ideally within enterprise technology, consulting, infrastructure, or project-driven environments.
- Demonstrated ability to close mid- to large-scale deals involving multiple stakeholders and non-trivial procurement processes.
- Comfortable operating with autonomy, ambiguity, and accountability.
Technical Acumen (Non-Negotiable)
- Strong technical literacy in at least one core sector, with the ability to rapidly understand architectures, operating models, and value drivers across others.
- In the data platform domain: ability to clearly articulate cloud, data, analytics, governance, security, and cost concepts without reliance on pre-sales.
- Capable of challenging client assumptions and reframing problems, not just responding to stated requirements.
Consulting-Led Selling Mindset
- Experience selling outcomes, not products—running structured discovery, shaping solutions, and aligning delivery to business objectives.
- Able to translate technical capability into executive-level commercial value.
Network & Relationship Strength
- Established, activated relationships within UAE enterprises, government-linked entities, transport authorities, developers, or Tier-1 contractors.
- Demonstrated ability to convert relationships into meetings, tenders, and revenue—not just contacts.
Communication & Mobility
- Excellent English (spoken and written).
- Arabic strongly preferred for government and semi-government engagements.
- UAE driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
