Business Development Executive – Lead Generation & Client Acquisition

Role Overview


We’re looking for a results-driven Business Development Executive focused on generating consistent revenue through outbound and platform-based acquisition.


This is not a passive role. You will be directly responsible for bringing in new clients and closing deals.



🚀 Core Responsibilities


1. Platform-Based Lead Generation


Identify and apply to high-quality projects on Upwork

Write custom, high-conversion proposals (no templates)

Track applications, responses, and conversion rates



2. Direct Outreach & Prospecting


Execute cold and warm outreach via email

Identify and contact decision-makers via LinkedIn

Explore additional channels (freelance platforms, directories, communities)



3. Sales Process Support


Handle initial client communication

Qualify leads and book calls

Support deal closing process with the team



4. Opportunity Identification


Research new markets, niches, and service demand

Suggest improvements in targeting, messaging, and offers



🎯 What We’re Looking For


Strong written communication (this role is 70% writing)

Understanding of client psychology & sales

Ability to research and personalize outreach

Self-driven and target-oriented mindset


Bonus:


Experience with Upwork bidding

Experience in agency or service-based sales

Understanding of branding, design, or tech services



💰 Compensation


Base Salary: Based on experience


Commission (on revenue generated):


£1,000 → 5%

£1,000 – £4,999 → 7.5%

£5,000+ monthly → 10%


👉 High performers are expected to earn significantly through commission.



📊 Performance Expectations (IMPORTANT)


Daily: 5–15 high-quality proposals or outreach attempts

Weekly: Consistent lead flow + booked calls

Monthly: Measurable contribution to revenue

Quality > quantity, but consistency is mandatory
