Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Inside Sales / Business Development Intern to support our sales and business growth initiatives. This role is ideal for candidates who want hands-on exposure to lead generation, cold calling, client communication, and sales processes.
The intern will work closely with the sales and business development team to identify potential clients, engage prospects, and support the conversion of leads into business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and generating new leads through cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, email campaigns, and online research
- Make outbound calls to potential customers to introduce company products or services
- Understand client requirements and qualify leads based on interest and need
- Schedule follow-up calls, meetings, or demos for the sales team
- Maintain and update lead details, call outcomes, and follow-up notes in CRM or tracking sheets
- Support the creation of call scripts, pitch decks, and outreach messages
- Follow up with prospects to nurture interest and improve lead conversion
- Coordinate with the sales/business development team to ensure smooth handover of qualified leads
- Share daily/weekly updates on calls made, leads generated, and follow-ups completed
Skills & Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed graduation / post-graduation (MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred)
- Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written)
- Willingness to make cold calls and interact with new people daily
- Basic understanding of sales, business development, or customer handling
- Comfortable working with targets and performance metrics
- Basic knowledge of LinkedIn, email communication, and MS Excel/Google Sheets
- Positive attitude, learning mindset, and ability to take feedback
