Business Development Intern

Amwal is working to uplift financial services by making them more accessible, flexible, and useful for people through payment solutions that better fit their everyday and high-value purchasing needs.

Today, Amwal is focused on enabling customers to split payments through their existing credit cards, while helping merchants improve affordability and customer conversion. Over time, the opportunity is bigger: to build and expand into enhanced financial products that support customers wherever financial flexibility is needed.

At this stage, interns will be close to real business problems, daily execution, and cross-functional work across growth, business, operations, product, and design.

This opportunity is for candidates who want to learn business development through direct market exposure. The role gives practical experience in merchant outreach, field visits, relationship building, commercial follow-ups, onboarding, and activation.

The intern will work closely with experienced team members and learn how partnerships are built from the first conversation to real activation.

What We're Looking For?
  • Comfortable with field visits and meeting merchants in person
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills
  • Ability to build relationships with merchants and business owners
  • Strong follow up, organization, and ownership
  • Interest in sales, partnerships, fintech, and startups
  • Ability to move conversations forward and support deal closing
Key Responsibilities
  • Visit and reach out to potential merchants
  • Build and organize merchant lists
  • Follow up with potential merchants
  • Support merchant onboarding and activationTrack pipeline progress and next steps
  • Prepare simple pitch materials and merchant summaries
