Business Development Manager

Job Purpose:

To lead the planning, coordination, and business development activities across key sectors. The Manager will be

responsible for identifying and initiating new project opportunities, preparing initial assessments, conducting

sector research, leading prequalification efforts, and supporting partnership engagement in collaboration with

internal departments and external stakeholders.

This role plays a key part in expanding Al-Ayuni's market presence, pipeline development, and client engagement,

and will ensure full alignment with the Company's business growth strategy and operational goals.

Principal Accountabilities:

Lead the identification and tracking of new business and project opportunities across infrastructure,

construction, industrial, and service sectors relevant to the Company.

Conduct market research and opportunity analysis, including client profiles, competitor benchmarking,

project pipelines and sector trends.

Lead the preparation of project prequalification documents, expressions of interest (EOIs), and requests

for qualifications (RFQs/SOQs), in collaboration with the teams.

Coordinate with internal departments (Legal, Finance, Engineering, Operations) to gather necessary data

and ensure compliance with pre-bid requirements.

Maintain and update a centralized pipeline and CRM system for business development activities, ensuring

accurate status tracking, follow-ups, and reporting.

Establishing and maintaining relationships with potential partners, clients, consultants, and governmental

entities to support future project collaboration.

Support the evaluation and onboarding of potential JV or consortium partners during bidding stages,

ensuring proper alignment with project requirements and internal policies.

Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and executive summaries to support internal decision-making

and management approvals.

Track and report KPIs, success rates, and business development performance metrics to the Director on a

periodic basis.

Participate in relevant industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to represent Al-Ayuni and gather

market intelligence.

Ensure that all business development documentation, records, and communication are organized,

archived, and accessible according to internal standards.


Required Academic Qualification

Bachelor's degree Engineering, Business Administration, or related field

Years of Experience

6-10 years of experience in business development, project coordination, or pre-sales roles within

infrastructure, construction, or industrial sectors.

Experience in proposal preparation, market analysis, or client's procurement is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

Expert in infrastructure and project development cycles, and construction companies

Experience in business development and opening channels with existing and new clients

Experience of prequalification and tendering procedures

Strong analytical and communication skills

Experience in business writing, presentation, and reporting

Good command of Microsoft Office and CRM/project tracking tools and Oracle CX

Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across departments

Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Number of new opportunities qualified and tracked in the pipeline

Number and quality of EOIs, RFQs, and pre-qualification packages submitted

Timeliness and accuracy of internal coordination and documentation

Level of engagement with new and existing external stakeholders

Conversion rate from opportunity to bid stage

Internal stakeholder satisfaction with BD support services
