We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Business Development Manager in our Commercial Department.

The Business Development Manager drives commercial growth by pursuing new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and delivering initiatives that increase revenue and enhance the company’s presence in the racing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expand commercial financial growth in sponsorship and business-to-business relationships.

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy that drives long-term growth and positions the company as a leader in the racing industry.

  • Identify, negotiate, and secure major sponsorships, strategic alliances, and long-term commercial partnerships.

  • Oversee the sales pipeline, from prospecting to deal closure, ensuring consistent revenue growth across all commercial verticals.

  • Understand resource needs and develop a needs assessment for executive management.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and fan engagement to identify new opportunities for growth.

Qualifications:

A successful candidate will have:

  • BA/BS in sales, marketing or other discipline.

  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in revenue generation, business development, or commercial strategy.

  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stake holders in various departments across TRD. e.g manufacturing, market researchers, agencies, engineering, marketing, procurement, competition, etc.

  • Ability to build relationships within TRD and TMNA.

  • Proven track record of delivering substantial revenue growth in motorsports, sports, entertainment, or related industries.

  • Financial acumen with experience in revenue forecasting, budgeting, and P&L management.

  • Strong experience creating and expanding relationships, including, business, sponsorship, and cross-functional relationships.

A successful candidate may have:

  • Master’s degree in sales, marketing or other discipline.

  • 5 years or more experience in racing or engineering industry.

  • General understanding of engineering, vehicle dynamics, performance and race cars.
