Business Development Manager — Material Handling (Philadephia Territory)

We’re looking for a hungry, career-rising Business Development Manager to own and grow our Philly market. This is a full-cycle sales role in the material-handling world — forklifts at the core, with a wide portfolio that includes racking, warehouse products, automation systems, and other allied solutions.

Not a meeting-setter. Not a handoff shop. You’re the relationship owner from first handshake through long-term account management.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the Pittsburgh territory: develop new business, nurture long-term relationships, and manage a book you’ll grow for years.
  • Sell a full suite of material-handling solutions — forklifts (core), racking, storage systems, dock & door, warehouse products, and emerging automation offerings.
  • Prospect, cold call, walk warehouses, and build a strong funnel across manufacturing, distribution, logistics, and 3PL environments.
  • Partner closely with our internal teams (rental, parts, service, automation, engineering) to deliver best-in-class solutions.
  • Maintain a pulse on the Pittsburgh market — competitive landscape, customer expansions, new construction, and automation trends.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, guiding them through equipment choices, warehouse improvements, and long-term fleet planning.
  • Manage the full cycle: quoting, presenting, negotiating, closing, and long-term account stewardship.

What You Bring

  • Sales drive. Hunger. A get-after-it attitude. You’re at a point in your career where you want a big territory, iconic brands, and a real runway.
  • Not required, but bonus points for experience in material handling, industrial products, automation, or B2B equipment sales.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills — comfortable on the phone, in the warehouse, and in front of plant leadership.
  • Ability to manage both hunting and farming: building new accounts while deepening existing ones.
  • A commercial mindset and the discipline to manage a pipeline and hit goals.

What We Offer

  • Leading brands in the Philadelphia market and a reputation that opens doors.
  • Strong salary + commission structure with uncapped earning potential.
  • Solid benefits, strong culture, and real career trajectory — including opportunities to move into senior roles such as Account Manager for more experienced hires.
  • Support from operations, service, rental, and automation teams who know how to win.

Why Now?
Philadelphia is a growing, competitive, high-opportunity market — and we need someone who wants to run with it. If you’re ready to build a territory, own your accounts forever, and sell solutions that actually impact customers’ operations, this is it.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
