Palmer Hamilton, LLC is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to expand our presence in the education and commercial markets. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth through innovative food court, dining, and commons area solutions. The Business Development Manager will work collaboratively with the Director of PH Design, Sales Representatives, and internal design and project management teams to deliver tailored, design-forward solutions that exceed client expectations.
The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a proven track record in B2B sales, strong communication and relationship management skills, and an understanding of design-focused sales environments. This individual will serve as a key ambassador of the Palmer Hamilton brand, promoting our commitment to product excellence, service, and customer satisfaction.

Identify, develop, and close new sales opportunities in the food court, dining, and common space markets within education, corporate, and hospitality sectors.

Partner closely with the Director of PH Design to execute sales strategies aligned with company goals and design initiatives.

Build and maintain longterm relationships with architects, designers, dealers, and end users to expand market share and drive repeat business.

Conduct needs assessments and collaborate with internal design and engineering teams to develop tailored solutions that meet client specifications and budgets.

Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and design concept overviews.

Collaborate with internal teams—including marketing, design, and project management—to ensure seamless execution from concept through installation.

Maintain uptodate knowledge of market trends, competitor products, and emerging design innovations to effectively position Palmer Hamilton’s offerings.

Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline development, and forecast accuracy using CRM tools.

Participate in trade shows, conferences, and networking events to represent Palmer Hamilton and expand professional connections.

Develop and implement territory and account plans to achieve annual sales objectives.

Ensure exceptional customer service and postsale support to strengthen relationships and enhance customer satisfaction.

Perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental and company initiatives.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management—preferably in furniture, interior design, or architectural solutions. Proven success in developing strategic partnerships and closing complex, designdriven projects.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred). Familiarity with design software and reading design specifications is a plus.

Sales & Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels. Strong negotiation, relationship management, and consultative selling abilities. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Other Requirements: Selfmotivated, driven, and adaptable with a strategic mindset. Ability to travel regionally and nationally as needed (50%).
This position operates in a hybrid capacity, combining collaboration with the PH Design team and field-based client engagement. Travel is required for client visits, site assessments, trade shows, and industry events. The role involves frequent communication across departments, external partners, and clients in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
