Job Overview
Scaleup Connect is hiring a Business Development Manager on behalf of its client to lead sales initiatives, manage key client relationships, and drive consistent revenue growth.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage the complete sales lifecycle, mentor sales resources when needed, and convert market opportunities into measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure
- Develop, implement, and optimize business development and sales strategies
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key and enterprise clients
- Conduct high-level client meetings, presentations, and negotiations
- Achieve and exceed assigned revenue, growth, and profitability targets
- Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, operations, delivery) to ensure smooth onboarding and execution
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
- Identify new business channels and expansion opportunities
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure forecast accuracy
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates to stakeholders
Required Skills & Competencies
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial or team lead role
- Proven track record in business development, sales leadership, and revenue growth
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced negotiation, objection-handling, and deal-closing abilities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Hands-on experience with CRM tools and MS Office
- Ability to work in a target-driven, high-accountability environment
