Business Development Manager

Job Description

A Dubai-based shipping and logistics company is looking to hire a Business Development Manager to support its commercial growth in the UAE market.

This role is suited for a hands-on sales professional with proven experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or NVOCC services, who can actively develop new business and manage client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow new business opportunities in:
  • Sea freight (FCL / LCL)
  • Freight forwarding
  • Logistics solutions
  • Identify and approach new customers through market knowledge, networking, and direct sales activity
  • Manage and grow an existing client portfolio
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate rates, and close deals
  • Coordinate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, shipping lines, and overseas agents
  • Track sales activity, targets, and pipeline performance
  • Represent the company professionally in client meetings and industry events

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics sales
  • Proven UAE market experience
  • Strong understanding of sea freight and forwarding services
  • Ability to generate and develop new business
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated and target-driven
  • Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage)
  • UAE driving license is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED20.00 - AED30.00 per month
