Business Development Manager

A leading national professional services firm is seeking a Business Development Manager to support its Bellevue, Washington office, with a focus on driving new revenue opportunities across the West Region.


This position is aligned with the firm’s Accounting, Tax, and Advisory practices and is centered on engaging middle-market and enterprise-level clients across diverse industries such as Construction, Real Estate, Manufacturing, Distribution, and other high‑growth sectors.


About the Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new business by building relationships with executive-level decision makers—CEOs, CFOs, CROs, CAEs, CCOs, CISOs, CTOs, Internal Audit leadership, and other financial stakeholders.

The ideal candidate excels in identifying emerging opportunities, understanding client needs, and positioning a full suite of financial and advisory services that address market‑specific challenges within the Bellevue and broader West Region.

This is a strategic, relationship-driven sales role that partners closely with internal Client Service and Marketing teams to drive targeted campaigns and industry-specific outreach.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture relationships with middle‑market and enterprise organizations across multiple industries, with emphasis on construction, real estate, and manufacturing/distribution.
  • Engage C‑suite and financial leaders to understand operational challenges, planned initiatives, and areas of potential advisory support.
  • Identify, qualify, and drive new business opportunities using relationship development, enterprise sales programs, and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Partner with internal teams to design and execute tailored sales campaigns aligned with specific industries and markets.
  • Generate leads and close new business within complex organizations requiring comprehensive advisory solutions.
  • Conduct a minimum of 20 sales appointments per month via in‑person meetings, video calls, and phone outreach.
  • Lead collaborative sales strategies with internal stakeholders, clearly articulating the firm’s value proposition.
  • Build and execute an annual sales plan aligned with regional leadership.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity within a CRM system.
  • Support the delivery of business development training for internal professionals.
  • Report directly to the Regional Director of Business Development while partnering with Managing Directors, Practice Leaders, and Marketing/Operations leadership.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years of direct sales experience , ideally within professional services, advisory, or a similar consultative-selling environment.
  • Strong industry familiarity across targeted sectors.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
