Job Overview
The Business Development Manager is a dynamic, cross-functional leader responsible for driving the strategic growth and expansion of Mangen & Associates' client base. This role requires blending financial acumen with business development and sales leadership to identify high-growth companies in need of strategic accounting and financial support. The manager will serve as the primary financial point of contact during the sales process, ensuring accurate assessment of client needs and the securing of signed contracts.

Duties

Strategic Growth & Partnerships

  • Serve as a key growth driver by identifying, developing, and closing new client relationships
  • Cultivate new client relationships and optimize strategic partnerships.
  • Work with M&A leadership to hone marketing and sales efforts.
  • Pre-qualify prospects and manage leads, including entering new opportunities into the company’s CRM for attribution.

Client Engagement & Financial Analysis

  • Lead the client assessment process to adequately assess client needs and build an acceptable scope of services.
  • Develop and present proposal documents, pricing models, and proposed scopes of service to prospective clients.
  • Sustain communications with prospective clients during and after contract execution.
  • Provide ongoing project management oversight to ensure client expectations are exceeded.

Collaboration & Process

  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure capacity for providing services and to recommend scope of services and pricing adjustments as necessary.
  • Manage and monitor strategic projects to ensure M&A services are exceeding client expectations
  • Assist M&A management team in future business planning.

Qualifications

  • A clear, concise communicator with exceptional follow-up and organizational skills.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience, preferably combining accounting/finance and sales/business development.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, and/or marketing.
  • Detailed knowledge of a variety of software programs, familiarity with manipulation and presentation of financial data, and possession of knowledge and experience in use of computer software programs, especially Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Professional etiquette to staff & clients.
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is a plus.

Compensation

  • Base Salary of $60k-$75k plus commission
  • Target total compensation $120k-$150k

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
