The Business Development Manager (BDM) for our e-commerce company will drive revenue and market expansion by securing new vendor partnerships, optimizing sales channels, and identifying growth opportunities. - Strategic Growth: Develop and execute long-term e-commerce sales strategies to align with overall business objectives and drive sustainable profitability.
- Partnership Management: Identify, negotiate, and onboard new vendors, suppliers, and affiliate partners.
- Market Research: Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior to identify new revenue streams and underserved markets.
- Data Analysis & Optimization: Track conversion rates, sales data, and return on investment (ROI) to refine digital marketing strategies and optimize the online customer journey.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with marketing, IT, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment, launch promotional campaigns, and enhance user experience. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9]
Key Requirements & Skills
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Typically requires 3-5 years of proven sales or e-commerce experience.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with e-commerce ecosystems (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce), affiliate marketing, and online sales channels.
- Analytical Acumen: Proficiency in interpreting web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), using CRM software, and working extensively with performance metrics.
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills to build lasting relationships with B2B clients and partners
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in Business Development
- Experience building or scaling brands from scratch to growth
- Strong knowledge of content strategy, branding, and paid ads
- Hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager and other platforms
- Creative mindset with strong copywriting skills
- Analytical and performance-focused approach
- Self-driven, organized, and proactive
