Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in Food, Water, and Pharma Testing Services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the company’s market presence across India. This role requires deep industry knowledge, a strong business network, and proven experience in B2B sales within the testing and analytical services domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and market share growth targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Food, Water, and pharmaceutical testing segments.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships with manufacturers, regulatory bodies, FMCG companies, hospitals, and pharmaceutical firms.
  • Lead negotiations, prepare proposals, and close contracts with clients.
  • Collaborate with technical and laboratory teams to ensure client requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry networking events to promote CDNA Labs’ capabilities.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and manage key accounts for repeat business and referrals.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related field. MBA in Marketing/Business Management preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of proven experience in business development or sales within testing and analytical laboratories, specifically in Food, Water, and Pharma Testing.
  • Strong understanding of NABL, FSSAI, BIS, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong network of clients and industry contacts in the food, water, and pharma sectors.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in sales and marketing of testing services (Food/Water/Pharma).
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance, testing procedures, and laboratory operations.
  • Willingness to travel across regions for client meetings and business development activities.
