Business Development Manager (Commercial Plumbing)

Pacific Standard Plumbing (PSP) is a commercial plumbing company in San Diego. We provide service and repair for commercial buildings only — no new construction, no residential.

We're hiring an experienced business development manager to grow our commercial account base across San Diego County. You'll target property management firms, HOA management companies, and direct commercial clients (hospitals, hotels, education, retail, life sciences).

This is a hunter role. You're building a book of business from the ground up, with full leadership support and back-office resources.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and pursue new commercial accounts across San Diego County
  • Build relationships with property managers, facilities directors, and HOA boards
  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, proposals, scope walks, contract negotiation, close
  • Grow market share inside accounts you've won
  • Attend industry events (BOMA, IFMA, CAI, IREM) and represent PSP in the local market
  • Partner with operations and ownership on pricing, forecasting, and account strategy

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 3+ years of B2B outside sales experience selling services to commercial clients
  • Track record of carrying and hitting a quota of $1M+ in annual new business
  • Experience selling into property management, facilities, commercial real estate, or commercial trades
  • Strong network in the San Diego commercial real estate or facilities ecosystem (or proven ability to build one quickly)
  • Comfort with CRM software, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • Valid California driver's license and clean driving record

Preferred:

  • Existing relationships with regional or national property management firms
  • Background in commercial plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, fire/life safety, janitorial, or roofing services
  • Experience with commercial vendor onboarding and compliance platforms

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: Depending on experience
  • Commission: Strong Incentive plan above base salary.
