Job Title: Business Development Manager (BDM)

Location: Mysore/Bangalore

Position Summary:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and driving revenue growth for the construction company. The BDM will focus on market research, lead generation, client presentations, bid management, and strategic partnerships. This role is key to expanding the company’s presence in the market and securing construction projects in residential, commercial, and/or infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in target markets (e.g., real estate developers, government contracts, private clients).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, consultants, architects, engineers, and developers.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and quotations to clients.
  • Lead the preparation of pre-qualification documents and tenders in coordination with the estimating and project teams.
  • Track industry trends, competitor activities, and project pipelines to inform strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (engineering, design, estimating, finance) to ensure smooth client onboarding and project handover.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the brand.
  • Manage client databases and CRM systems to track leads, follow-ups, and conversions.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, KPIs, and revenue objectives.
  • Provide regular reports and forecasts to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 - 7 years of experience in business development or sales in the construction industry.
  • Proven track record in securing construction contracts or development deals.
  • Strong network of industry contacts (clients, developers, consultants, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and sales reporting tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of local regulations, tender processes, and building codes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
